Data sources and correction policy
The ranking tables are based on official NIRF publications. Supporting institution attributes may use official education datasets and institution records after identity review.
Primary data sources
- Official NIRF category ranking tables and published score data.
- Official institution identifiers and submissions where they accompany the ranking source.
- Official AISHE or institution records used to verify ownership and identity where appropriate.
Correction requests
Send the affected NIRFRank page URL, institution name, field to correct and a link to an authoritative source. Screenshots alone may not be enough to verify a change.
Each request is checked against the applicable source and institution identity. Accepted changes are applied to the database and affected cached pages are refreshed.
What is not rewritten
NIRFRank does not alter an official published rank because an institution disputes the result. Corrections to the official ranking itself must first appear in an authoritative NIRF source.
